KuR
Small Angle Neutron Scattering & Neutron Reflectometry

KuR is a group within the Laboratory for Neutron Scattering (LNS), a joint venture of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) and the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), department Condensed Matter Research with Neutrons and Muons (NUM).

We run the dedicated user instruments at the spallation neutron source SINQ:
- SANS I small angle scattering 6.10-4 Å-1 < q < 1.05 Å-1, polarisation
- SANS II small angle scattering 2.10-3 Å-1 < q < 0.35 Å-1
- AMOR vertical TOF reflectometer polarisation option
- ECHO USANS, double crystal diffractometer option on Morpheus
and the test / in-house beamlines
- Morpheus polarised 4-circle diffractometer test instrument
- Narziss polarised reflectometer in-house, neutron optics

We are doing research in various fields connected to hard and soft condensed matter physics. We focus on structure and dynamics in materials with relevant length scales in the nm-range.
Here are some examples:
